I would like to start by saying that we are now residents of South Dakota. We decided to choose that state for our Residency because the taxes were the most friendliest for us. They do not have a state tax therefor our pensions, 401K and other retirement benefits are not taxed. The other “most friendly” state was Florida yet it was further to drive from Minnesota. Kiplinger magazine has a good article in regards to the most tax friendly state to retire if you would like more information.
We put our house on the market and it sold within 1 day. We were quite surprised and overwhelmed. Each day this becomes more real for us. Now is the task of getting rid of everything. Again this can be quite overwhelming.
We have decided to sell everything or give it away. Because of social media selling items is quite easy. I placed a coffee table, a couch and other items and I sold two pieces within a hour and the other pieces people are interested in.

This is such a loving tribute through words & photos of your adventures exploring our beautiful country, “this land that was made for you and me”. Great writing & photos. I also loved the specifics & suggestions of places to explore. So glad you & Renee found each other & are together on this other great outdoors adventure in your lives.
