This was our view Sept 2nd., absolutely stunning. We left Rapid City that day with the intention of staying at a state camp ground in Wyoming. The temp was in the 100 when we left so we thought it would be best to be somewhere that we could plug into for electricity. The GPS was taking us in the wrong direction so we never did find the state campground, although earlier that day I found a reservoir that we could boon dock at free of charge. We ended up at the reservoir and was more then pleased at the view. There was only one other camper there and they were far enough away that it felt like we had the lake to ourselves. It was so quiet the next morning when we were outside I could hear the hawks wings flap as they were flying above us. Needless to say this was a gem of a place to find. Also it cooled off nicely that night that we didn’t need to turn on our generator.
Today this is my view out of the Motor home window. After leaving Wyoming we drove to the KOA in Central City Colorado.
Our friends from Rochester will be meeting up with us in Denver. They are here for the crystal and gem shows so we thought we could catch up with them and they can show us around.
The beauty of Colorado goes on and on. We drove to Golden Colorado on a scenic road and at times it took my breath away. The mountains in all their glory and the creek below shining like diamonds from the glare of the sun.
My phone camera does not do these pictures justice, I definitely will be looking into a better camera. If anybody has any recommendation please do share.
In the meantime please enjoy some photos, and remember “life begins at the end of your comfort zone” it sure has for me.
