On the road

August 28th 2019 we hit the road. EXITED. This is it, planning routes, planning places to stay, asking questions, should we boon dock? stay at a camp site? How long do we want to stay where ever it is we want to go to? Loving life.

We are now towing the pick up, a few hiccups hooking and unhooking the dam thing. Our biggest laugh was trying to get the pickup unhooked, we couldn’t get the tow detached from the pickup butttt Renee hit the lever with her hammer and low and behold it came loose. Sooo if all else fails use a hammer and beat it.

Our first night we boon docked at a sculpture garden. We belong to a RV club called Harvest Host. For a annual fee they provide a list of over 800 places you can stay over night. The list consists of wineries, Alpaca farms, breweries, and museums. We used it for the first time last night. We stayed at a sculpture garden outside of Sioux Falls SD. It is called Porters Sculpture garden, the man that makes the sculptures lives on the land. Everything is quit simple but Wayne the owner is very fascinating and his works is amazing. I have posted some pictures of his work.

Today we will travel on to Rapid City SD. Our plan is to stay there for three days and then move on to Colorado.
